Summary
Reporting that she has returned to London after being very ill in Brighton and unable to go to Clarendon; saying that the Royal Family was coming to the Pavilion on the 1st of November and she didn't feel well enough to see them; relating family news and news of the death of the son of a friend; saying "oh, what a state we are in & what change there is in every thing - I fear poor England is doom'd to destruction but I will not get into the Dismals - all those I felt interested about are gone & I care little for those that remain;" adding more social news and referring to a friend who told Mrs. Fitzherbert she was going to write to Minney "...to congratulate you on yr present state I told her I was very angry as I thought you had quite a sufficient stock."
