Notes
Mrs. Fitzherbert has dated this letter August 19th but in reading subsequent letters it appears the date is actually September 19th, 1834. In MA 3498.161 she writes from Aix le Chappelle on August 22 which clearly appears to follow on from previous letters describing her travels in Germany and Belgium to take the waters.
