Reporting her safe arrival, her sadness at having to leave them all and asking her to tell little Min that she did not forget her birthday; relating news of the stormy weather and expressing her fears for Minney's going on any excursions on the water; relating news of family and friends; commenting that she will likely continue on to Brussels; adding, in a postscript, that Gurwood sends his regards and asking her to tell Lord Yarmouth "...that the Hotel des Bains where I am is one of the cleanest & well furnish'd Hotels I ever was in - I have it quite to myself for there is not a Creature in it - I understand it is avoided by many being reckon'd the most expensive Hotel here & very few people come to it."
