Summary
Reporting on Mary after the delivery of her baby saying "Thank God today is the sixth day and she is now wonderfully well - she has suffer'd dreadfully & I really believe nothing but Stone's cleverness & strength could have brought the child into the world - she is still confined to her Bed but I hope she will towards Evening be able to move to the Sopha. Stone assures me she will be quite well in a day or two...dear Baby is quite well & really the Nurse is very attentive to him - she has fortunately plenty of milk & all goes on quite well - I dare not give an opinion respecting my meeting you till I hear your determination for I am too nervous to take the responsibility upon myself tho' as the Child is still at the Breast there can be no difficulties with respect to food &c;" relating news of family and friends; adding "Lady Munster insists upon going to Paris & Munster writes me word they are to embark at Brighton for Paris - what a poor hen peck'd thing he is - I really could not help telling him so - he takes all his family & a pretty expence it will be to him who is always complaining of poverty."
