Summary
Discussing the house she is renting in Brighton and the debts of the Duke of York; saying "...pray dont abuse my present residence - it is not Pavilion Parade but the Grand Parade - a very airy gay situation - the house tho' small perfectly clean and comfortable - I suppose you have read a Paragraph in the papers respecting the poor Duke of York's debts - I have had a letter from the Committee desiring me to furnish them with any communication I may be possess'd of upon the Subject - I have answer'd it by saying what is perfectly true that I am totally ignorant of any transactions of the sort. I have sent the letter to Sir Herbert Taylor to beg he will inform me what it all means;" relating news of Minnie's brother Frederick and his happy marriage; relating news of her health and social engagements;" adding "Munster writes me word you made him go to the King on his Birth day which I am very glad of - he says he was very kindly receiv'd but it all goes for nothing till the K. provides handsomely for his son - I fear he may wait a great while for that;" relating more social news; adding, in a postscript, "I hear you mean to pass part of the winter at Paris & I have been press'd to be of the party - But I am too old & Infirm."
