Summary
Saying she is safely arrived at Brighton, is staying at the Norfolk Hotel and Lady Byron and her daughter are staying in the next room; saying "I have not seen them as yet but as she is an old acquaintance I daresay we shall meet - I have rather a curiosity to see both her & her Girl. I hope dearest you are not angry with me for returning your kind present - it w'd really have been quite a crime to have taken such a beautiful thing either in my carriage or to an Inn;" expressing her appreciation to her for "...letting me see you so often & depriving yourself of parties which you w'd have lik'd - I felt I was not only a great Boar to my friends as well as myself as I was not able to enjoy any thing - I daresay as I already do find myself better in a short time I shall regain both health & spirits & enjoy the Society of those I love & wish to see;" asking her, in a postscript, to "...let Daykin tell my people in Tilney St that I am arriv'd safe & well."
