Summary
Saying how much she is looking forward to her arrival and discussing lodging for Lady Anne; adding "I fear you will find this place rather dull scarce a creature you know & bills upon most of the houses - there is no dinner party's of any sort going on except the Pavilion which keeps every body from inviting Company - Therefore dear Minney I have changed my mind & will not have the cook for he will have nothing to do here & he will naturally be bor'd to death & of course will bore me - you therefore must make up your mind to cut roast mutton & fish - it is rather a disappointment to me but I cannot help it - I have been twice at the Pavilion not a human being has named poor George & the K[ing] I understand never speaks upon the Subject;" relating news of her brother Frederick and a visit from Captain Feilding who walked '...into my House & sitting an hour with me perfectly good humour'd & agreeable tho' at yr. House he would not speak to me & when I offer'd him my Hand refus'd to take it - what does it all mean perhaps you may be able to explain it to be when we meet - I have been very busy in giving up being Patroness to the Balls & have had some trouble to get ladies to take my place;" with an additional interior address panel to Lady Anne Dawson and a note signed by Minney asking Annie to read the letter and return it to her.
