Summary
Apologizing for not writing sooner but explaining that "...I have never had a moment to myself - the number of people of my acquaintance that are there is amazing & there is nothing but dinner party's going on every day...I have been dining out constantly but as yet I have had no party at Home. My rooms will be quite finish'd in a day or two then I shall begin to return Civility from those I have receiv'd it from...I do not expect the K[ing] will come - Lady C. is seriously ill & the Duke of Cumberland uses all his Interest to prevent a visit here - The Pavillion is made quite ready to receive him & some people think that he will come but I dont think he will - It is perfectly indifferent to me whether he does or not;" relating news of friends and family.
