Summary
Commenting on a letter that the King wrote which "...proves the K is in good humour with you & I suspect the contents of Lord C.'s letter was dictated by the K - & will be the only answer you will get at present - I trust he will take yr request into consideration - he has ample powers at this moment to comply with yr request without injuring any body;" saying she is anxious to visit her "...to have a view of yr Chateau. I dare not travel about in Thunder & Lightening as you do, but if the weather is fine you may depend upon my being with you on Monday before two o'clock - if i do not arrive at that hour you must not expect me;" referring to a position at the Naval College at Portsmouth that the Duke of Clarence "...has given Dawson...a very small income is attach'd to it, it is the only thing he has at this moment to dispose of but he has promis'd when any thing better occurs to do something more for him - of course he must accept of it as it puts him in the [illegible] of promotion; relating news of Minney's brothers George and Frederick.
