Summary
Expressing her grief at the news of the death of "Lady Harriet's [Lady Harriet Dawson Erskine] unexpected & sudden death - it makes me very nervous it must have been a great Comfort to Dawson his having been to visit her I hope Lady Caroline will continue her pension - I gave you a poor account of myself in my last letter I am now thank god got well again & have exerted myself to the utmost to make my Inhabitants gay & happy I have [illegible] for you dearest to assist me for I am not able to do much my mind is youthful but my body is very old the least thing in the world fatigues me - George Seymour is going to Berlin & is much pleas'd with his appointment - I never hear any thing of your family & therefore can give you no account of them - as to news there is nothing going on but Politicks which bores me to death I wish I c'd send you some of the Public papers there never was any thing so abusive of the [King] & the Lady there names in full length I hope you have written your letter to the K - The Princess Augusta is here in bad health but she sees nobody. A thousand good wishes from the bottom of my heart to you & yours with many many happy returns of the Season."
