Miss Seymour married George Dawson-Damer on August 20, 1825.
The reference to the tomb in Nice is to the tomb of Mrs. Fitzherbert's second husband, Thomas Fitzherbert, who died in Nice in 1781.

Summary
Expressing her concern for the weather on their journey and discussing details of where to direct letters; saying "how very kind of you Dearest to think of me & all my Sufferings at Nice your search after the Tomb must have been fruitless - It is [in] one of the Chapels in the Church I purchas'd & I conclude there can have been no one at Nice that could recollect me at such a distance of time since the Event took place but it pleas'd & gratified me your thinking about it;" relating news of Harriet Belford, the Duke of Devonshire and Lord Hertford; adding "The D. of York sat with me all yesterday in high good humour he is come to stay a month & then I suppose he will go his round of Visits to Belvoir &c;" continuing with news of friends, the deaths of Lady Gosford and "old Mrs. Wheeler and a visit from the Duke of Sussex.
