Summary
Expressing her appreciation for her letter and the accounts she received [of the wedding] "...& I was for setting off directly to see you but now I am rather more in my Senses than when I wrote last, I beg you will not attend to the proposal I made of making somewhere upon the Road as it would only be for a short time & a second Separation would be more painful than I am at this moment able to encounter, I have been in my bed for the last three or four days with a return of my odious spasams [sic] but I am so much better to day that I have desir'd down stairs & hope in a day or two to begin Bathing;" relating news of friends and family; suggesting she get a passport "...to save time that as soon as your Carriage gets on Shore you may start immediately upon yr Journey - When you pay for your Carriage as it is ready Money the Coachmaker ought to deduct five pr. cent. Basker always does it w'h me & so do all the Coachmakers - I cannot help [illegible] giving you this Hint, for my whole thoughts are employ'd upon you - I am glad you like yr Chateau & that you feel so Comfortable in it;" adding, in a postscript, more social news.
