Summary
Reporting that her gout is much better, that she is able to "walk about the Room" and hopes to be able to be in London on Monday; saying she is happy to hear she is well in London, that there has been no one to see in Brighton except for Lord Egremont; concluding "I have not as yet been out of my dressing room for tho' my Gout is gone it has left me very Bilious & good for nothing but this I hope will go of soon;" adding, in a postscript, "I have been very much shock'd at reading in the newspaper the account of my poor old friend Lady Anne Barnard's death."
