Saying how pleased she is to hear she is enjoying her time with family and friends in London; saying she has no news from Brighton and adding that she has sent one of her kitchen maids up to London "...that you may be able to have a dinner whenever you like at home...;" asking her about a carpet color for her bedroom in Brighton; referring to something she read in the paper adding "I hope there is no foundation for it - I feel very much pleas'd at the Confidence you have plac'd in me w'h respect to an absent person...;" concluding that she is having a bad day as her "...Wretched Back is so painful. I can scarcely move in other respects I am tolerably well, but [illegible] constant pain makes me low & nervous."
