Summary
Thanking her for her letter and rejoicing at hearing she is so well and "...so well amus'd & of the kindness & attention of all your friends;" relating news of friends and social engagements in Brighton; suggesting, in a postscript, that when she arrives in Brighton she plan to have dinner at her sister's as a friend who is very ill is not expected to live however adding, "...tho' I do not pretend to grieve as I have not seen him for more than twenty years yet I think in decency I should not like for a few days to have Company."
