Summary
Expressing her anxiety about Minney's travels on the Continent with George and relating news of her continuing poor health; saying "I go to Sherwood tomorrow the weather has been continuous quite detestable but I think the country will do me good I am better but very nervous I cannot get rid of that tiresome fever that never quits me, tho' I am really better than when you left me - London is I am told quite empty it looks very dismal & I shall be glad to get away;" relating social news of friends and of an offer on her house; saying "I have had an offer of ten thousand for my House w'ch I have refus'd there are three people about it now, I feel sorry to part with it but as it must go the sooner the better;" asking her to write ...if only one line merely to say you are well it will be some consolation for I really shall be very happy to have you back again recollect what I said to you upon this subject when we parted - I won't repeat it again for I am sure you must recollect it - I will look forward to comfort & happiness & trust nothing ever will again destroy that good feeling & understanding that now subsists between us."
