I am very glad you wrote, I think it will make the Marchioness very angry I trust he [George IV] will be convinc'd that the storys told him respecting you are only her own fabrication;" adding news of a visit from Minney's friend Harriet and news that Lady Denbigh, "...who was to have gone to the Continent at the same time you did was taken ill of the Small Pox after having been [illegible] by Jenner himself, she is doing very well but it is really grievous to think how often it has fail'd. I am so glad you under went a second vaccination at Brighton for people now say it only keeps [illegible[ for about Seven Years;" relating news of friends; adding "I long to hear that you are safe arriv'd at Dresden *I hope you found yr Carriage comfortable & that it has performed the journey well - pray give a thousand loves to George tell him I feel quite happy you are under? his care you can not be in better hands;" asking her to write as often as she has time.
