Summary
Discussing his proofs, changes that still need to be made and his expectation that "...the whole should be out of my hands next week. The book has cost me more thought than anything I have yet done, & has absorbed my Xmas holidays. As the little volume contains so much new facts about Berkeley (Percival M.S.S. &c), do you think it would serve the Series if its advent were announced, in a sentence in the news columns of the 'Athenaeum' or the 'Academy'? If you think so, perhaps you would get it inserted - or Mr. Blackwood;" adding, in a postscript, "It would be well, I fancy, to get good articles on the vols. in the Series in 'Blackwood', 'Fraser', & of course in the 'Spectator', 'Saturday' &c - by competent writers."
