Summary
Concerning Fraser's contribution on [George] Berkeley for Knight's "Philosophical Classics" series; asking about the size of the volume, the printing deadline and if the publishing will be "...in chronological order, or very much as authors send their works to you? I shall be glad to know. Any way, I think Berkeley should simmer in my mind till next year, where I might try to have it ready for you, if then wanted. I hope Wallace will not be too German. I should like to see Kant presented truly, & yet by one able to look at him from the point of view of English philosophy. But one of this [illegible] is perhaps nonexistent. Your project seems to mature well, & I suppose in due time you will announce it to the world. I am very sorry we are not likely to see you at Rydal. If you pass through Edin'b in August I am likely to be here;" concluding "What a cold & wet summer thus far - here & in London! I never found so much cold & rain in London at this season. I have not yet got the published copy of your 'Studies', but shall value it much - proud & grateful for your kind expression on the opening page."
