Summary
Informing Rosenberg that the painting in question is a figure, size 30. As soon as he heard from Rosenberg, he informed Madame Buthuit that he [Rosenberg] wouldn't be in Paris ready to work until the morning of May 6. It has all been arranged, at the Banque de France, with "Josse B," his wife's appraiser, and Bellier, representing Mme Duthuit, who won't be there. She has asked Madame Duthuit to inform Josse & Bellier. Matisse will be informed before that date about the method chosen for the division. He thanks Rosenberg for telling him that it's cold again in Paris, which means that Matisse is going to have to confront winter weather.
