Summary
Saying "Mrs. O'Brien has sent another of the little oddities - it is 'The Rose of Jericho' - If it is put in a saucer with water it opens beautifully & gives a delightful odour. I hope you had a safe & pleasant journey, that neither of you were very tired - Your absence from St. Peter's has grieved the little congregation - A brilliant sun shining on my desk whilst I write - I shall have to lower the blind. I hope you have no horrible fog, but of course you have not our sun!"
