Summary:

Saying, "You two dear ladies are very much missed, & very much spoken of & thought about - I was so pleased to hear from you & indeed it will be 'welcome' when you both come again - but it must be before another year. The largest congregation my Father has had yet was at the second Mass yesterday morning. Even he noticed it & spoke of it. He came to supper last evening very bright & merry but looking very tired. Both his sermons were very good, & well delivered. I am now writing to invite Mr. & Mrs. Macdonald to dinner on the 29th. They are such nice people. Such cold weather, & East wind, but a heavy shower this morning has made our flowers happier. I hope you will receive the photograph in a few days, André was half tempted to send you his copy, but at the last moment his courage gave way & he could not. He sends you his best regards & kindest wishes[.]"
