Summary
Saying "Good night! I am wild & lonely in my little back bedroom. All genial stars settle round my Merle! I lie inland looking towards the Boy! Nighty, Nighty! Heaven be with 'oo. / Morning / -the birds do not sing here 'hey ding-a-ding-ding' - the salt has got into their little throats - a bird must sing inland. - at my lonely breakfast I look forth in the ravening sea. Alas! the pier, just opposite, a big bone sticking in the monster's throat. Grey rawness & wind; but all my flesh rises up to welcome the Infinite, - the 24 hours' cure is being wrought in me, & home on Heaven's wings to [illegible] to-morrow! I was nuda-nudissima when the Maid brought thy jewel-letter to my door. This is the first of my letters for which a casket of infinite price must be bought - Amy's bell rings - I rush forth to post this. I must have a minute alone by the sea. By this time thou hast received. - Hennie! my All-one / Michael."
