Summary
He's returning the signed contract to Rosenberg and says it represents what they wanted. He hopes that Rosenberg is in good health and busy organizing things without encountering obstacles for the realization of his idea. Matisse is working hard. The weather is good, and international events don't make him want to leave any time soon. He'd like to spend the worst part of the winter in Nice. He's got the blues because of a second cold. (in manuscript on verso) Madame Matisse left the area around Toulouse a few days earlier. She's in Paris at Madame Duthuit's home. He hears that she is far from calm, more and more irritated.
