Summary
She's had a visit in her studio from people involved in Swiss painting: Claude Eger, Madame Oury, and Madame Bordanini (Musée de l'Athénée). They spoke about the Braque, and she added her Picasso. Since [Paul] Pétridès [an art dealer] sent art dealers to her home to buy those two works, she put them in a box so she wouldn't be bothered about them anymore. They [the Swiss] also wanted to do an exhibition of her works in Geneva, but since she works so little, not having the strength of the great men painters, there was nothing on the walls. Claude Eger said that the father of Georges Moos [a Swiss gallery owner, like his father] had a beautiful collection of paintings and that he was having reproductions made of them. She says that if Rosenberg sees a Marie Laurencin canvas, she never gave her permission. "He" is going to the U.S. to sell his reproductions. There are a lot of Braques, Picassos, and Dufys among them. Stores selling reproductions are doing such good business that on Saturdays, people line up outside them. "The butcher" is leaving on March 19. She is working peacefully, having leg problems.
