Summary
She's sorry to hear about his foot. She is well. Her stay in St-Benoît-sur-Loire did her a lot of good. It relaxed her body and mind, and her room was filled with books. She went often to the religious services of the Benedictine Sisters. She met Canon Fleureau, who converted Max Jacob to Catholicism. She's been sending him books. He's 80 years old, and she finds him to be gentle and observant, understanding how to deal with her. She's still having apartment troubles. The court is on vacation. The other side wants to contest the order to leave the apartment that she was awarded and are declaring that she doesn't live a 7, rue Masseran, but she has her voting card as proof. She says they're just stalling for time. She is saddened by the situation of Alexis Léger. She'd like Rosenberg to give her his address, although she doesn't think he'd be happy to hear from her. She says that Paris has changed so much that she envies people who live abroad and speak another language, but she's too old to pick up and move somewhere else.
