Summary
Apologizing for taking so long to answer his letter. She had lunch with Marguerite, who gave her news of the whole family and who will tell him all about how things are in Paris. Everyone there is disillusioned. Rents are rising. She has put herself in category 2[?], which obliges her to take on a businessman. But they have Picasso's dove. She finds it contemptuous--like a photo of a pigeon, but then again, it's signed by Picasso. She's doing a portrait of a little American boy, whose parents are friends of Armand [Loewengard]. She's in good health. Her homeopathic doctor, Dr. Rouy, asked for a drawing for his daughter's album. He never thanked her and makes her pay more than his other patients, but she's not going to let it bother her because she's feeling well.
