Summary
Thanking her for her letter and saying that she as well awaits the happy news for Micheline [the birth of Anne Sinclair on 7-15-1948]. She adds that news of the marriage of Alex[andre] was a nice surprise, and she can imagine how busy Rosenberg is. She has been painting, but paint is becoming expensive. The minor problem she had with her finger has passed to her left hand. Since she was put completely to sleep by the anesthetic, she was so well rested that the nervous, overwhelming problems with her esophagus disappeared. She is feeling much better and no longer feels the fatigue that prevented her from talking and eating. Nicole Groult is going to be a grandmother twice more. Her younger daughter is coming to live in Paris. The winter was mild, etc. She tells Marguerite to tell Paul that if he hurts a finger, he'll be cured.
