Summary
Armand is going to the south of France, near Menton [on the Mediterranean by the Italian border]. Says that Rosenberg is going to see Matisse. She's going to read [Roger] Martin du Gard and will see [Racine's play] Phèdre with Jamois. She talks about decorating the balconies in her building/apartment with plants. She understands that other people have much more unhappy lives than she does. She's going to be happy to see Rosenberg return to Paris, but with Alex[andre]'s studies, it's not time for the family to be separated.
