Summary
It's warmer now. She had a sad evening: Cocteau's play, the snobbery of the audience, dinner with some American women. Armand is better. He's out of danger. Dr. de Gennes didn't want his family notified. She had a letter from Juliette Abrahams [Armand's sister], who wants Armand to come stay with her [and her sister] in England. Laurencin doesn't think it's a practical idea, although the atmosphere at the Abrahams' is very pleasant. One of them has a son who drives a tank--he's her "pet." Mingo is in the home of industrialists, being spoiled. The girl from Brittany who posed for her has gone to work at the Citroen factory. Not a good story.
