Summary
Armand is better. Dr. de Gennes says he's out of danger, but he still needs care. It's finally stopped snowing. The greyness and the snow had put her in a very bad mood. She's sad about the war, as well, the soldiers, the people evacuated, the children ... She's been telling herself to reflect and think--a great effort. She hasn't finished any paintings--the weather has held her back. The previous evening she was at L. Bailby's. The daughter of Madame Leouzon le Duc was there, along with Henri Bardac, who likes and understands Rosenberg.
