Summary
She went to the Sheridan Gala ([hosted by] Etienne de Beaumont) with Rose Descat and also to a play by Jean Cocteau, escorted by a rich American. Paris is sad in the gray, snowy weather, and she speaks about Admiral Byrd's book again [Alone]. She doesn't feel as courageous as he was [in Antarctica]. Armand [Loewengard] had a nose hemorrhage during the night and lost consciousness. Two doctors are caring for him. One is Dr. L. de Gennes. Armand is weak and staying in bed. Florie Gimpel seems to be terrified about Armand's condition. Misia [Sert] [Confidante of Picasso] is unwell.
