Reporting on his passage to Dieppe; saying "We got here last night at 9 or there abouts after a perfect passage, the sun shining the whole time & the sea as smooth as glass - the place from what little we could see of it last night seems quite charming & [illegible' Boulogne seem cheap - everything here (in this hotel) on a most gorgeous & delightful scale...we are going to start immediately in quest of lodgings - The weather seems very threatening just at present - You will not hear from me again of course till you see me very late on Monday night. I hope you are all getting on well - The sensation so unaccustomed of being away from all one's ducky darlings is unnatural & unpleasant. I write in great haste as Tag [T.A.G. Sprenk] is waiting impatiently...I have all today & all to-morrow till 2 o'clock (at which time the boat starts-."
