Summary
Concerning the publication of his book; saying "I wish to goodness you would answer my letters. I wrote to you on Thursday & still have no answer. It is very annoying. I meant to come up to town tomorrow, but now I don't know whether to come or not. I wish you would cultivate some business habits. I am sure that book will never be out in time. Also I hear you are going bankrupt. I really must beg you to postpone doing so till a year after the publication of my book. Send me a wire about when the drawings are to be finished."
