Summary
Informing him that she had dinner with Picasso and they both spoke about their bad financial situations. She says it would be better for her to be a seamstress. She could make herself clothes and maybe become rich, and she could have a car. She saw Madame Rosenberg and says that she must be finding his stay in the US to be long, because they thought he'd be back by Christmas. Laurencin is leaving for Switzerland for a week to avoid all the end-of-year dinner invitations. She hopes that Rosenberg will like the paintings she gave to Hessel and wishes him a happy New Year.
