Summary
Informing him that she has written to him requesting some canvas because she finds the German canvas to be of poor quality. She asks how he is going to have it sent to her. She thinks the simplest thing to do will be to send it to Cologne, an she'll go to pick it up, either from Monsieur Charlier [perhaps Guillaume Charlier, a Belgian sculptor] whom Rosenberg knows or from Mr. Feinhals, of the Feinhals Tobacco Company, who will forward it to her. Her package from M. and Mme Groult still has not arrived. She says that a friend (Yvonne Crotti) is having a leather jacket made for her, but since Crotti's finances are limited, she can't give Laurencin the 400-600 francs she needs as an advance payment. She wrote to her to go see Rosenberg, and she asks him if she should write a blank check and if he can advance her the sum. She is busy painting in Düsseldorf. She is well and is looking forward to being able to take the train whenever she feels like it. And what more could one desire than to be living like Sleeping Beauty in a castle in in a park isolated from everyone? She gets at least 2 letters from Paris every day and answers them.
