Summary
Telling her he will go to Shepherd's Bush and pay the rent for the field; commenting on a letter from Mrs. Goldsmith: "From Mrs. Goldsmith there has come a second letter (a most honorable one) hoping to do with half the money - at all events just now, pending the expected return of the eldest son from sea. The rest was raised, but I have sent her your gift (saying it is from a lady whose name I am not at liberty to mention) and now hold the rest."
