Summary
Saying that she received his two letters at the consulate. She is working, but a little less than usual because of the distractions caused by the navy. The one who's taken up most of her time has had to return to his post, and she's left with memories of happy days. She mentions that her apartment in Paris is empty now--neither Groult nor Laboureur is there. She can't wait to get there. She calls it her "cage" or her "boat." Laurencin says that the reproduction is splendid, better than her drawing in terms of subject matter. Gallimard has written to her that he attended her exhibition. Her [doctor?] has found her to be very anemic [and said] that the climate there is bad for her. She is feeling tired and needs French beefsteak to build up her blood.
