Summary
Arranging to visit her with Charley; saying "I shall be glad to tell you all about Charley and his forthcoming King's College Career, viva voce. And as I owe him a holiday, in consequence of his having conducted himself with brilliancy at School I shall (unless you tell me you will not be there) bring him down pr. Railway, to make a morning call on you at Brighton next Monday Week. In the mean time I shall feel it necessary to get up some information about Locomotive Engines, or I shall be brought to a stand-still, and shall lose my position, before we get to Croydon, through not being able to answer questions."
