Summary
Being a poem of three 4-line stanzas as follows: "Here in poetry imagination / Clothes with flesh the skeleton of thought, / Restores the vision to its sightless orbits, / And armours it with darkness and a sword. / Here shines the lily in the shadowed valley, / Here stoops the falcon from her dazzling cliff, / Here drifts a feather from the stricken pigeon, / Time-hung between the blue and the abyss. / Here speaks the heart's auricular confession / To which unconscious lips accord a form; / Here kneels all knowledge for a benediction / Before the transubstantiated word."
