Summary
Mentioning his acceptance into "the Cecil" (i.e., the headquarters of the newly formed Royal Air Force), and assuring Pratt (in reference to his desire to be accepted into the RAF) that he found the doctor "highly considerate" and "easier with older men like you"; making a reference to the recent illness of a mutual friend; stating that "Stanley's caricature belongs to me. But never mind that. The people are welcome to it.", that Les Stevenson has written to him, and that he shall be glad to see him; complaining that his days at the Cecil leave him too tired to work on the job of altering the ending of an "American play", and noting that he will receive 7 days leave in a month which he plans to spend at "Cobden's in Capel Curig."
