Summary
Apologizing for not writing earlier but explaining he has "...been scrambling blindfold through the last few days with too much to do, a cold in my head, books everywhere & not a moment to think & poor Dick very much [illegible] himself with a sharp attack of bronchitis. I hoped to see you on whatever day it was, until the last moment, & then had nowhere to write to. You had a brilliant 'square' I hear & not Mr. Pound there! There was a notice in the D.C. the other day of a volume of some kind of [illegible] stuff he seems to have published - not very enthusiastic - did you see it? But the Press is far too fickle. I am dead-alive & tired out of other peoples' work. That's one advantage of being an Author - you can enjoy something. I do hope you didn't [illegible] alone with all those cryptic chess-players round you...Perhaps you got my cross Rhyme do let me know how you all are : Come up & hoot the horrid Lords tomorrow! I simply boil - blood & brains - when I think of their unconstitutionalness and wealth."
