Summary
Braque hasn't answered Rosenberg's last letter sooner because he has been ill. He spent 2 weeks in the hospital but is now convalescing thanks to penicillin. Braque is awaiting the arrival of 8 of his paintings that Rosenberg has shipped back to him. By this time they should have arrived. Rosenberg sent them to Cassou [see earlier letters], but Braque has had no news from him. Braque was told that if he knew the name of the ship they were coming on, he could take some measures to speed things up and asks Rosenberg for this information. He hopes that Rosenberg has received the paper he asked for from his brother [Edmond]. (in postscript) he asks if Rosenberg has worked out the issue of "the two paintings" [see earlier letters].
