Summary
Reassuring him that he received his letter and packages. Life is improving slowly in France, so Braque appreciates what Rosenberg is sending him. Braque says that it is regrettable to learn that Rosenberg won't be able to reopen his gallery in Paris. Rosenberg's wife had made Braque think that it was a sure thing. He is glad that Rosenberg is coming to Paris and is looking forward to seeing him. Braque is now in very good health and is working harder than ever, with great joy. He is going to Varengeville for a few days to get away from Paris, where life, with all its constraints, is becoming unbearable. Picasso has left for the south and is working down there.
