Summary
Informing him that he has just received a letter from the Arts Club of Chicago with new conditions for an exhibition of his work. It appears that if his works are exhibited in Chicago, the Art Club of San Francisco will pay only part of the costs of returning his paintings. However, they have not specified how much. Braque is not sure if he should accept the new arrangement, since now the costs must be rather high. Furthermore, after the show, San Francisco would keep the paintings, but Braque would have to insure them himself. He asks Rosenberg what he thinks and what he plans to do, requesting a quick response because Americans are always in a hurry and have asked him to telegraph his reply. Braque is working hard at the moment and is thinking about Rosenberg's show [of his works]. It is likely that he himself will take his paintings to Paris for Rosenberg's show.
