Summary
Informing him that he has received Rosenberg's letter and that he is going to send the check to Morgan, as Rosenberg suggested, to have it converted to francs. It will be easier than dealing with the problems he always has at the bank in Varengeville. He has been thinking about the prices Rosenberg has proposed [for his works]. He says the most important thing now is to keep sales brisk and that the art market isn't as slow as many people think, as far as he can tell from Varengeville. He accepts Rosenberg's prices, and their new arrangement will be in effect from Oct. 1, 1939, to Oct. 1, 1940. Braque has stopped sculpting because he needs to do it outdoors, and the weather has not been favorable. He hopes that Rosenbeg is feeling much better and thanks him for putting him in contact with a lawyer named Garçon, who is now dealing with his "affaire" [unspecified].
