Setting forth his views and concerns about the Cossijurah case, the issues of jurisdiction and a sequestration order against the Zamindar of Cossijurah; concluding "In a word - if the Zamindar is brought up Neck & Heels to the Presidency by a Military Force, this will (after the model of the Parent State) be a [illegible] by Law with a Vengeance, for nothing can in future resist the Claim of Jurisdiction, & the Provinces will be prostrate before that Court to which they were once taught to look up for redress of Every wrong. Upon you is my sole reliance, & if you do not forthwith march your Powers, I need not tell you what will be the situation of / Your ever faithful / J. Day."
