Summary
Concerning his paper on Wordsworth; sending Knight "...an address which I delivered to a Provincial Lit. & Phil. Society on Wordsworth last January & which has been privately printed at the request of the members. So you must criticize it tenderly. I venture to trouble you with it not on account of any merit of its own but because you will see that I have taken your name in vain and have made free use of your very interesting life of Wordsworth."
