Summary
Reporting the death of William Wordsworth; saying "I hear from the John Wordsworths that William Wordsworth of Rydal died suddenly on Wednesday. Heart complaint it is said. I saw rather more of him last summer than I had ever done before - but I did not know him well - His son is a very nice intelligent fellow and likely, I suppose, to be useful to you, if he inherits his father's papers. I received the 5 portraits 2 days ago - I only saw the poet twice and cannot be a good judge - but no. III best suits my recollections. I hope the new volumes are progressing favourably."
