Notes
Part of a small collection five items including signatures, menus and an invitation. See MA 9801.1, MA 9801.2, MA 9801.4 and MA 9801.5.
Hand-painted floral border around the upper half and a floral spray painted at the end of the menu with a silk tassle attached at the bottom.
Tied at the top onto a card with a thin gray silk braid with a tassle on the end. The bottom of the invitation is sewn to the bottom of the card with a small knot. The card is folded in half, with Wilkie Collins' monogram, set in a circle with his name beneath it, printed on the front cover and his monogram in a circle printed on the back.
